On behalf of the rest of the band, I would like to thank everybody who came out for Dark Arts. I especialy want to thank those of you who braved our performance. You helped make it our best performance ever. Last but not least, the commitee members who worked so tirelesly to make sure the event kicked ass as it did. You guys deserve all the praise in the world! Great job!!

To anyone who has tried to contact us our E-mail account was down for 6 days but it is up again now.
All of Apox also wanted to thank SLC for the wonderful experience. SLC has always been one of our special cities as far as memories go. If you ever get Mercy in a spooky mood he will share the tale of 3 lil birds that saved the whole bands life after our first gig there and how we broke down and missed our Halloween show in San Francisco. We will be posting a short streaming video of the fetsival n a week or two.If you want to be notified write us and we will let you know when its posted.

Sincere thanks to everyone who made the
Festival happen and to all who helped me
feel at home in Salt Lake City and at Sanctuary.
The Festival was brilliant; a good atmosphere in
the club with its church windows and brick walls,
good choices of goth music (cheers to dj drown,
Kelly A and the Sorcerer of Sound!),
so many great energetic local bands (going
all out on stage), & so many dazzling
people in their fearless beauty and uncompromised
real selves. This was my first large-scale gothic
event and if this festival is what I can expect from
a cohered gothic community then I am going to make
a point of going to more of such events in the future!
Thanks so much for hosting me. I hope to come back to Salt
Lake & dance again at Sanctuary.
All good things,
Carolee

Just wanted to know if anyone caught our show at Dark Arts on Thursday. We kicked off the festival and had a great time. Our power went out a few times but the people that ran the show were great and the venue is one of the coolest we have ever played. We hope to play there again soon. Check us out if you get a chance and support all the others (especially the locals) tonight and tomorrow. Keep it scary.

The event is all ages. Any restrictions on age have been worked around. The bar of course is off limits to those under 21. 7 hours and counting!!!

I was wondering, do you have to be at least a certain age to attend the art festival?

Keep this personal crap off our Message Board! Dark Arts is less than 36 hours away, and it's about having fun! We don't know Steve Cook from Adam, and we don't care who he finds attractive! Thanks!

Haha Yes DeadSpeed and that geek Steve Cook they are a good Beer band if that is what your looking for. You know that early 90's butt rock sound. You should see the overweight hags that Steve Cook likes to romance into bed. Steve Cook

Don't worry, Crissy -- during Dark Arts, when there are upstairs activities, the upstairs will be all ages and the bar itself will be the only restricted part the way the club used to be), so under-21s can still enjoy everything.
Madelyn <madelyn <at> gothics.org>

isn't upstairs 21+? will that affect anything?

There are no age limitations, but we are coming very close to the deadline for submissions. Remember the people who sign up sooner usually get a better slot! Also, we should be releasing the band schedule soon, so keep checking the site!

are there age limitations on what you can/can't participate in?

We are currently working on the schedule and ticket prices. There may be day passes available, but basically if you want to go to more than one day (which everyone should) it will be cheaper to buy the four day pass. We will be posting this information to the website as soon as it is finalized.
